Uniqlo opens its 3rd store in India

UNIQLO, the Japanese global apparel retailer, opened its newest store at DLF Avenue, Saket, a newly renovated shopping destination in the heart of Delhi. The 21,500 square-foot store will occupy two floors and promise a new shopping experience for the area with its thoughtful designs, high-quality and functional products that are made for all.

UNIQLO DLF Avenue Saket will be the brand’s third store in India, following a successful debut in October in 2019 at Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj and the second store at DLF CyberHub Gurgaon.
“We are thrilled to open our newest location in Delhi, especially as it represents a milestone for our opening phase in this important market”, said Tomohiko Sei, CEO, UNIQLO India. “Our journey in India has been very rewarding and inspiring. We are delighted with the positive feedback our products have garnered with the launch of our first two stores and we hope to delight consumers with our third store at DLF Avenue, Saket. We will continue striving to provide services and products that meet Indian customers’ daily needs and have our highly functional and high-quality apparel, which we call LifeWear, be more accessible and loved by customers in Delhi.”
Speaking on the opening, Pushpa Bector, Executive Director, DLF Shopping Malls said, "We are excited to open doors for UNIQLO at our second destination in a row. The brand has made a mark in the Indian retail landscape within a few months of its launch and we are confident that the response at DLF Avenue, Saket will be overwhelming, where customers value quality over quantity."
UNIQLO at DLF Avenue will feature UNIQLO’s LifeWear clothing—which comes from the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity—for men, women, kids and babies.

Designed as an outward-facing showcase window, the two-storey glass façade will display the latest seasonal offerings and promotions for visitors and passersby with an impactful multi-colour lighting display. Integrated seamlessly with the design approach of DLF Avenue, the dynamic store entrance is anchored with a 33 ft. long LED ticker and a wall of digital screens that will be recognizable from across the mall atrium. The signature UT Corner boasts stainless steel structures and an LED ticker running from one end to the other.

As part of UNIQLO’s commitment to local communities and culture, the new store continues the brand’s Good Neighbourhood Guide endeavor in India, highlighting the hidden gems of local neighborhoods.
